Me: May I come in sir.
External: yeah come in and have you seat.
Me: thank you sir.
i signed over in the attendance column.
External: what are your favourite subjects?
Me: Engineering mechanics, Mechanics of solids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, thermal engineering 1 and 2, last but not least Production Technology :p
External: good choice. so from which subject should i ask?
Me: any of the subjects should be fine with me sir.
External: draw the otto cycle and describe the cycle
i finished the task with ease and was waiting for the next question.
E: you appeared for IIT?
M: yeah. i took my coaching from an institute (name withheld) :P
E: thats great. as far as i know students from that institute are geniuses and i hope you are one among them.
M: giggling. i left the institute after few months and joined other one.
E: why??
M: i couldn't cope with the pressure over there. so quit it.
E: why did you join that institute?
M: my dad felt i lacked discipline so he enrolled me over there.
E: what were the timings over there?
M: morning 4-8. i used to get up 3 am
E: interesting. what time do you get up now?
M: 7.30 AM sir.(with confidence)
E: WTF!! why so late?
M: my bus comes at 8.15 sir. so 45 mins is enough to get ready :P
i could see the external's face being pale over my reply. ;)
this conversation followed with another round of some intersting questions and finally after 9 minutes 45 seconds the external said

"YOUR COLLEGE GOT REPUTATION JUST BECAUSE YOUR BROTHERS ( ANNALU/SENIORS) DID VERY WELL AND GOT PLACED IN TOP MNC'S AND WITH STUDENTS OF CURRENT BATCH ENDING UP LIKE THIS I GUESS YOUR BROTHERS (TAMMULU/JUNIORS) WONT EVEN STAND A CHANCE TO GET PLACED."
Me: speaking in a higher tone " Sir, i have an aggregate of 67 odd and i am placed already in an MNC. I owe that success to my parents and friends but not my college. i give a damn to my college and its management."

After all the shit i have been through i was awarded a paltry 40 odd out of a possible 100 marks. i am not worried about the marks but am happy that i could speak out my mind infront of the people who taught me over the past four years. :)

i was later informed that the external was a prof in JNTU!!

Becoming Insane

i never thought i would end up with a bachelors degree like the way its going on at my college. Literally begging prof's for extending the deadline date for the submission of project report, going around their asses for marks in internals and not to mention the stupid "Comprehensive Viva".4 months ago when the semester started i had this feel of finishing my engineering on a high note, but now its a distant dream. if this wasn't enough i have ISRO coming up which is the mother of all exams.
29,March '11 is a day i will remember for a long time cos of 2 reasons. firstly i was happy that  i would be done with my comprehensive viva and secondly my arrogance took over my pride while i was engaged in a face-off with a JNTU prof who conducted my viva. poor fellow bore the brunt of my frustration over the lack of quality of education in my college. One strange thing i noticed this semester was i had hangovers too often and i was a lucky ass not to be condoned or detained :P strange that i learnt nothing from this semester and spent most of the time in Xtreme. ;) hopefully it isn't too late for me to get out of this state and try to get my priorities right atleast this time.

The History of the sev"7"ens of United

well every team has its own stars. but united got its best players wearing the fabled jersey no 7. It all started with George Best, an Irish legend who played most of his career at Old Trafford. He was a winger who was well known for his  pace, agility, goalscoring form and the ability to out smart the defenders. Like any other player he gained fame and reputation at very young age and eventually succumbed to drugs and alcohol. He died at an age of 59 due to multiple organ failure.

After George Best left United, United management couldn't find a proper heir to the crown vacated by Best. In the winter of 1992 there came a ray of hope for United fans in form of  ERIC "The King" CANTONA. he joined United from their arch rivals Leeds United and costed red devils 1.2 million pounds. In his first season with united he had little success helping United win the inaugural premier league and helped them become the champions of England after 35 long years. Eric Cantona followed the footsteps of his predecessor and got into an ugly situation with one of the supporters of Crystal Palace which resulted him being suspended for 8 long months. After couple of seasons THE KING decided to abdicate his throne. many fans were shocked with the premature retirement. Another glorius chapter comes to an END.

It was a master stroke from Sir Alex by handing the NO 7 jersey to none other than DAVID BECKHAM. he was one of the youth products of the famous youth academy that Sir Alex Ferguson has set up. Speaking of david beckham, one famous incident that elevated him into being a fan favourite. yeah the super goal he scored  against wimbledon made him a house hold name. As time passed on, Becks as he fondly called; established himself as one of the best right sided mid fielders that United has ever produced. He's remembered as a dead ball specialist and is a deadly crosser of the ball. After years of his undoubted service to the club, the fateful event occurred. during a cup defeat, Sir Alex kicked a boot which struck beckham's eye and needed several stitches. Finally in the summer of 2003 beckham was sold to Real Madrid for 35 million euros. A part of that money was used to lure Christiano Ronaldo from Sporting Lisbon and the youngster looked well capable to take over the jersey.

In comes Christiano Ronaldo aka CR aka Ronny, hes arguably the best thing that ever happened to United. Ever since his arrival he tried to win over United Folk by displaying abundant energy and having bag full of tricks. He slowly developed into becoming a world class player at old trafford majorly due to the phenominal goal scoring record of 42 goals in a single season in which united went on to win the champions league after 9 long seasons. He was touted to be a better player than George Best himself. But all the praise and awards fel short when he was transferred suddenly to Real Madrid for a world record fee of 80 million pounds. the move itself drew wide spread criticism regarding the over spending prowess of Real Madrid and the life style of Ronaldo. Yet another star makes his exit at Old Trafford and leaves with a sigh of hope that the next Player to don that shirt would be better than the predecessor.

Bangalore- Past, Present and Future

bangalore or should i say Bengaluru, a wonderful city with amazing ambience. it was a kinda nostalgic feeling i had when i visited bengaluru. its almost 13 years since i last visited it. the last time i have been to b'lore it was just like an ordinary city, neither crowded nor famous for the "IT industry".
the purpose of the trip was simple; meet all my cousins if possible :P and of course visit IISC, b'lore. I am glad that one of my best friends Lohith came along with me and made the entire trip a great one :)
i checked into my frnd's place somewhere near Electronic city and the trip from the railway station to my frnd's place was just awesome..!! travelling by bus (AC) was never this great :D
as time passed by, i got attracted to the peaceful climate of b'lore. then came the moment when i met my cousins divya and deepthi after a real long time. maybe around 19 years :)) had a talk with my aunt regarding the prospects of settling in b'lore and my career :D
visited Visverayya museum with my friend and did manage to screen all the exhibits thoroughly :P IISC, B'lore was a good place with its scenic ambience and good facilities offered to the students. It was once in a lifetime experience visiting the JRD Tata Library which houses close to 1 million books and is regarded to be the largest library in Asia. Arguably the 5 days which i spent in b'lore would be up there in my memory as the best time i had fun :)

Finally started heading back home with a resolution of settling in b'lore :P boarded the train around 8.45 in the night. some time later started watching the movie "DRAG ME TO HELL" with my friend and also other passengers. ;) one of my co-passengers (afreen ahmed) was really scared to death after watching the first part of the movie that she personally asked me to close the movie which i didn't. :P
Afreen was really pretty and for a moment i was smitten by her ;)

INSIGHT ON MY LAST SEMESTER

it was december 06,2010 when my final semester or should i address it as 4-2 started. by that time i was left preparing for major exams like snap, xat, jmet etc, due to which i couldn't do justice to my 4-1 semester exams :D
i had pretty much high hopes this semester mainly due to the fact that i had 300 marks in my hands and i was under the presumption that i wrote my cat well. ;) well it all started well with the first week, then came the biggest moment of my life : PLACEMENTS!!
Dec 16: officially a wipro employee.. ;) it was like an icing on top of the cake as the next day was my cousin's birthday :)
Dec 19: gave a shot at SNAP. paper was easy and i ended up with a very decent score as per the key released.
life was going pretty smoothly until JANUARY 1st,2011. i was horrified with my 4-1 percentage. that sent me into a kinda depression :P as i got much less than i expected. the very next day i had XAT2011, considered to be one of its own kind in testing the students.
after all this happened i never thought i had a chance to get a good score in XAT as i was morally down with my acads.
JAN 2, 2011: XAT-2011 whoa!! one hell of a paper! verbal was out of the world types.. as TIME reported in their analysis," even the most intelligent students who are capable of cracking CAT were stumped by the level of difficulty that XAT 2011 presented the students. to make things worst we had the essay writing thing after the exam!! PHEW!! one hell of a day it was..!!
JAN 9: finally started back "HOME" aka VIZAG. i missed the city a lot for the past 2 years :D and the city is beautiful as it was since ages :P
in the middle of my tour i get a call from my college principal who happens to be my "internal guide" for my main project and he enquires about the status of my project. i manage to give him some evasive answers and escape for time being. :P
and mind you VIZAG is better than HYDERABAD.
after reaching hyd, i am told that i am a part of the organising team for adastra-2011, a national techno management fest. my project gets dragged on thanks to my extra curricular skills ;)
i had to face a lot of criticism from my own family and my inner circle for a disappointing performance in the exams. :( but coped up with it somehow and xat score gave a faint hope to all my ppl :)
and it was march 4 and i got lambasted by my principal for not reporting to him about the status of my project and failure to finish it before feb 25.
as of now the only obstacle standing in my way is the main project. GOD SAVE ME!!
