SUBTERRANEAN BLUES: AN IMPERFECT LIFE

AN IMPERFECT LIFE

It was on the eve of my IIFT exam that i got a chance to explore the darker side of my life.. standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, i had a premonition that the exam would be a hell of a ride. with a view of  moonlight and started smoking milds.

''Infuenced by the music, these voices speak to me through my headphones"

This was the thought that was going through my mind after i started listening to Gothic Bands and was heavily under their influence.

View resembled a violent evening, Haven't seen sun all day and the day is about to end.Looks like the sun was kicked out of sky by some violent clouds and the view was a blurred one with visions of darkness filling up my mind. Yet as damaging as my mistakes were, i never bothered about the consequences i had to face for my actions. I foolishly created my own path of darkness with a view that not even God would not dare to put an end to my misery.

That brief premonition made me realize that my future does not lie with IIFT but it rests in some other place where i would be happy with the environment. may be the decision i took that day has an outstanding impact over the course of time and made me realize i was cold blooded after all.

as the time passed on, the tobacco rolled in the paper literally burnt to ashes and i took my last puff..

PLACEMENT BLUES

Ok guys.. This is a first attempt of mine trying to be funny.. Enjoy ya'all :D

Here comes the time to trade your stubble for a shave,
And give those tresses of yours a big good bye wave.
And as the barber keeps working on at your locks,
You remember “DAMN! I gotta de-odorize my socks “

You look at the time, there’s still an hour for the show,
Enough for a bath and a quick breakfast on-the-go.
Grabbing your towel and head over to the shower,
And Surprise Surprise,!the motor’s out of power.

You scuttle n scamper here and there,
To find a generous soul who has a bucket of water to spare.
You beg, bicker and finally a deal is made,
And Lo! The glorious path for your de-stinking is laid.

The deed being done, you’re back to your lair,
And you’re overwhelmed by the formals, the tie and your general lack of hair.
Having dressed, you step out, oozing attitude,
And suddenly, you’re smacked on the head with a loud yell going “DYUUUUDE!”

You look at your assailant, who gave you a bump,
But you see that it’s your moronic buddy, your chump.
He’s dressed in the best that Ms Peter England has on sale,
But too bad, he still looks like a big fat whale.

Many handshakes, high fives and fist bumps follow,
And it strikes you how soon time’s passed, it’s difficult to swallow.

Mallya's hackers, oil spills & more

The Pakistan Cyber Army(PCA), which recently hacked Dr.Vijay Mallya's website, has decided to diversify & go one step further: lay underground pipelines from Islamabad to Bangalore, and suck 1 crore barrels worth of Kingfisher rum from United Breweries plants. This was brought to light by a TIMES NOW expose, with a special correspondent swimming through the yet to be constructed pipeline with a hidden camera. Dr. Mallya, when contacted, said he wants to take things one at a time, and that his first priority is reviving his website from the hackers.

Meanwhile, the cyber police haven't begun looking for the hackers yet, as they are busy searching for Shashi Tharoor's long lost Twitter account. Down south, Kalaignar Karunanidhi passed a law in the State Legislature to rename all websites in Tamil. Kalaignar cited the unfamiliarity of Pakistani extremists with Tamil as the reason. TIMES NOW informers inside PCA revealed startling informations though: The Pak Cyber Army is working closely with Pakistan based, Tamil fluent Vijaykanth-movie villains to recognize and hack Tamil websites. M.K. Azhagiri is on top of the hit-list. Hearing this, a furious Captain Vijaykanth has stationed his DMDK cadres equipped with machine guns at all major browsing centers.

Petroleum Minister Murli Deora has surprisingly requested InterPol not to bust the pipelines, as they can be used to form a Pan India petroleum grid, thus reducing the transportation charges on petroleum. Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh has his own plans though. He says the pipeline can be routed to the Mumbai coast, so that the oil spill can be re-directed to Islamabad. British Petrouleum CEO, hearing of this latest development, has requested participation of BP in this project, to clear spill off the Gulf coast.

The Indian Government wants to pursue this matter tactically and diplomatically. New Delhi is pushing hard on Pakistan to award the pipeline contract to Suresh Kalmadi. This has two advantages, sources close to the matter say. There would be a steady revenue from the contracts, but at the same time the pipeline won't cross the borders of Islamabad. Very clever indeed!

Indian skipper M.S. Dhoni meanwhile has said that Dr. Mallya's web hack has deeply affected the morale of the team and that the boys are mentally tired. This, he says was the reason the team got 88 all out. (When confronted with the question that the match happened before the hack, a miffed Dhoni said: "Well if it had happened after the hack, the team would have been 8 all out". None understood the logic, of course! )

After a lot of goading, Dr. Mallya chose to speak on this matter. But what he spoke remains unclear because Arnob Goswarmi "Mr Mallya I'm asking a direct question I want a direct answer"ed even before Mallya opened his mouth. A frustrated Mallya shouted Oo La La Le Lo before splashing Whyte & Mackay on the camera.

My insight on FRIENDSHIP

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. (Proverbs 17:17)
You can always tell a real friend: when you’ve made a fool of yourself, he doesn’t feel you’ve done a permanent job. (Laurence J. Peter)
A lot of people go through life with only a few friends. It seems that some have less than that. They have no one on whom they can call in good times or bad. There is no one with whom to bounce ideas around, or to talk about deep and troubling subjects. They have no one to call in times of need or difficulty. They are at the mercy of life, standing alone.
Others seem to have a multitude of friends. Wherever they go, people know them, and like to be around them. Should trouble strike, their biggest hesitation might be over which friend to call. They know exactly the person with whom to discuss the topics of inquiry and debate. Life is full of entertaining and invigorating relationships because it is full of friends.
There ought to be a course in school on friendship. Of course, some people are perfectly happy to operate with fewer friends. They might rather have a few deep and loyal friends, than many superficial ones. Others thrive best when friends are everywhere and numerous. It is not so much the number of friends that is important as is the possession of friends, period.
Friendship is a blessing, and a friend is the channel through whom great emotional, spiritual, and sometimes even physical blessings flow. Friends can cheer us when we’re sorrowful or depressed. Friends can challenge us when we allow ourselves to get beyond our reasonable boundaries. Friends can motivate us when we’re ready to give in, and they can provide for us when life falls apart. They are there when all is well, and we want someone with whom to share life’s pleasant and memorable moments. We often just want them around to have a good time, to laugh, to act silly, to enjoy some mutually liked activity. In how many ways have friends enriched our lives and made us feel loved, accepted, respected and cared for? Probably, too many to list, and the list grows daily.
It is safe to say that when God created the world and all the majestic things in it, when he streaked the heavens with radiant color and the earth with grand mountains and awe-inspiring canyons, when he painted the plains with waving grasses and erected noble forests of towering trees, he outdid it all by creating friends. Why not take a moment or two and thank someone today for being a friend to you?
May God bless you with all the friends you need, and may he turn you into a blessing by using you as a friend to others.
