Paul Scholes, a man who was one of the best midfielders ever to don the shirt for Manchester United. being bought up in salford, he was excellent in cricket as well as football, but later opted to join the youth team of United.

He was a part of the famous team that won the youth cup, where he played alongside future team mates giggs, beckham, phil neville and gary neville. It was in 1993 that Scholes turned a professional. Oppurtunities at United were hard to come until Mark Hughes made a move to Chelsea in 95-96 season. During this season, Scholes got many oppurtunities and was mainly played as an attacking midfielder.
